Upset Fast Food Customer Climbs Through Drive Thru Window

A 26-year-old Justice woman was charged with battery after a dispute over $7, according to police.

A Harvey woman is accused of climbing through a fast food drive thru window and hitting an employee in a dispute over $7 in change.

Tiffany C. Woods, 26, of the 8600 block of South 86th Avenue, Justice, is accused of slapping the hand of an Wendy's employee, according to Oak Forest police.

Woods has placed an order at about 1:40 a.m. on Nov. 13 in the Wendy's drive-up when an argument started over $7 in change, an Oak Forest report states. She asked for her money back and returned the food, but never got the cash.

When an employee claimed she was being rude, that's when Woods became upset and the situation escalated, the report states.

Woods got out of her car, forced open the driver thru window and partially climbed inside, an Wendy's employee told police. She started swinging her arm and hit the employee on the hand.

The employee, who told police that the money had been returned to Woods, signed a complaint for battery, the report states.

Woods was released after posting bond. She is due on Dec. 19 in court.
