A Trio of Car Break-Ins on Lorel Avenue: Oak Forest Police Blotter

Oak Forest police were called to Lorel Avenue after a resident notified them of a theft from their car. While there, officers noted two other cars were broken into, as well.

Police were called to the 16200 block of Lorel Avenue after three separate incidents of burglaries to vehicles on the block, overnight Oct. 29–30.

After investigating the first incident, where a victim said an unknown suspect entered their car and removed a $20 and change, police located two more cars that were ransacked on the street. The second car was missing its dashboard stereo system. Both the first and second cars were unlocked at the time of the thefts.

A third car was also broken into, but nothing appeared to be missing. The driver's side front window was smashed in.
