With 34 calls, thefts accounted for 40 percent of the city's calls for service in the month of January.

Burglary
Burglaries took the second highest total, with 22 calls, accounting for 26 percent of the total.
Ward with the Most Calls for Service
Ward accounted for 29 percent of the total calls for service, and also the highest occurrence of theft (16). Wards 2 and 3 have the highest population of commercial businesses and are most commonly targeted by thieves, according to Oak Forest Crime Prevention Committee Chairman Dennis Mitzner.
