Teen Lured to Oak Forest School and Beaten by Mob

A 16-year-old was hospitalized after he was attacked by a group of teens who made gang references, according to a report.

An 16-year-old Harvey boy was beaten and robbed by a pack of teens after he was lured to an Oak Forest school, police said.

Officers arrived at Fieldcrest School, located at 4100 W. Wagman St., at about 5:37 p.m. on June 14, after the beating had taken place, according to an Oak Forest police report. The teen was treated for injuries by members of the Oak Forest Fire Department.

The teen was contacted by a by a girl on Facebook, who invited him to meet her at the school, the report states. Once at the school, four teen boys and three teen girls approached him. The group of boys then immediately attacked him.

According to the report, the boys mentioned a "two six" gang affiliation while beating the teen. They also took cash and his cell phone.

The victim recognized one of the attackers as a boy who goes to Bremen High School, the report states. He also recognized two of the girls who also were students at the high school.

Police said the teen was taken to South Suburban Hospital for treatment. No arrests were reported.
