EVERGREEN PARK
OCT. 27: Cynthia Bonner, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. She was stopped at 2:17 a.m. She was stopped for a burnt out headlight in the 9900 block of Homan Avenue, police said. Bonner told police she thought she was on 111th Street, police said. The report says that she refused a breath test and was "unable to participate in any field sobriety tests."
OCT. 28: Christina Broughton, 22, of Midlothian, was charged with drunken driving and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. At 3:25 a.m. she was driving near 97th Street and Lawndale Avenue when she struck two parked cars, police said. She was unable to explain to police what happened or take field sobriety tests, police said.

OCT. 29: Declan Doyle, 34, of Alsip, was charged with driving under the influence. He was stopped at 12:20 a.m. in the 9500 block of Springfield Avenue for speeding, police said. When asked to provide his driver's license he handed the officer his wallet and said "here," according to police. He refused a breath test, police said.

OCT. 26: James D. Hogan, 41, of the 1400 block of Henry Street in Normal, was issued citations at 1:25 a.m. at the intersection of La Grange Road and Nebraska Street for improper lane usage, driving under the influence, failure to dim headlights, failure to signal and no insurance. Hogan was released on bond. His court date is Dec. 5.
ORLAND PARK
OCT. 22: Police were called about a suspicious man seen trying to open a locked door to a business and then driving away in the 15400 block of Harlem Avenue around 8 a.m. The vehicle was found parked nearby, and the driver stepped out of the car, staggering as he moved, police said. The man smelled like alcohol, he mumbled while talking and police saw several opened beer bottles in his car, according to the report. The driver also failed some field sobriety tests, police said. Jose M. Pizana, 42, of the 4900 block of 28th Street in Cicero, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving an uninsured vehicle and illegal transportation of alcohol
OCT. 20: Police pulled over a truck for driving 56 mph in a 45 mph zone, for swerving close to a median strip from the right lane and squealing tires while turning around 1:15 a.m. in the 9400 block of Boardwalk Lane. The driver’s breath smelled like alcohol and he failed field sobriety tests, police said. Scott M. Guzik, 30, of the 16700 block of 92nd Avenue in Orland Hills, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal squealing of tires and improper turning.
