FRANKFORT
NOV. 24: Colton E. Donovan, 21, of the 2800 block of N. Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, was cited for driving under intoxication, not driving on the right side of the road, leaving the scene of an accident, driving without insurance and driving with a blood alcohol concentration above .08 at 3 a.m. on the 22300 block of Merritton Road. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 2.
NOV. 24: Kevin M. Johnson, 28, of the 600 block of Meadowood Lane in Wilmington, was cited for driving under intoxication and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 12:45 p.m. on the 21100 block of Wolf Road. He was released on bond and will appear in court on Dec. 6.
MOKENA
NOV. 30: Lauren Moran, 23, Crete, was charged with DUI and for driving too fast for conditions/failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a crash at W. 191st Street and LaGrange Road.
According to the report, she plowed into a light pole, causing $8,000 worth of damage. Upon investigation, police said it was apparent that Moran had been drinking. The car was impounded, and she cited for the violations.
NOV. 25: Sean M. King, 29, of the 1900 block of Everett Lane, was charged with DUI after reportedly rear-ending a car that was stopped at a traffic light at W. 191st Street and LaGrange Road. According to the report, King knocked off the hitch on the back of the car ahead of him.
As the light turned green, the woman whose vehicle was damaged told police that she pulled into a parking lot, expecting King to follow her. When he didn't, she drove after him and followed him for a short distance to his home on Everett Lane. From there she called police.
Police say when they arrived they spotted King in the garage and noticed the damage to his car. He was arrested and further cited for driving too fast for conditions.

OAK FOREST
NOV. 28: Richard M. Ryon, 45, of the 5100 block of W. 154th Street, Oak Forest, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, after police witnessed him drinking a beer behind the wheel of his truck in the Thornton's Gas Station, 14805 S. Cicero Avenue.
According to police, officers were in an unmarked squad car at the Thornton's when Ryon pulled up next to them in his truck. Officers watched as Ryon and his passenger, Michael B. O'Connell, 56, of the 5100 block of W. 154th Street, Oak Forest, drank beer from bottles before exiting the vehicle.
The men told officers they didn't know they couldn't drink beer in a vehicle.
Officers administered standard field sobriety tests to Ryon, who could not follow directions or complete the tests in a satisfactory manner. Ryon was taken into custody and transported to the Midlothian Police Station, where he submitted to a breathalyzer test.
The test showed Ryon with a blood alcohol content of .03. Officers asked Ryon to submit to blood and urine samples after the test, due to his failure at the field sobriety tests.
Ryon was taken to South Suburban Hospital, where he submitted to both tests. He was transported back to the station, where he was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol and given a court date of Jan 16, 2013, and released on $1,000 bond.
OAK LAWN
NOV. 22: A Chicago man accused of driving under the influence told police, “I’m just having a good time. Everybody knows it’s Thanksgiving,” reports said.
Oak Lawn police received several calls of a Chevy Blazer swerving all over Cicero Avenue around 12:54 a.m. Nov. 23. Officers found Evaristo Castillo, 23, of Franklin Park, asleep behind the wheel of his car that was parked in the shopping center lot at 87th Street and Cicero Avenue, reports said. Castillo was alone but still thought his friend was in the car with him and did not appear to know in which direction he was traveling, police said.
After failing field sobriety tests, Castillo was taken to the Oak Lawn police station where he was charged with driving under the influence, police said.
Castillo allegedly refused to take a Breathalyzer test and told police that it was time for him to go home.
DEC. 2: A 31-year-old man from Chicago’s South Side was arrested shortly after 11 p.m. and charged with DUI near 103rd and Cicero.
Police responding to a call of a “slumper” say they found Benjamin Winfield of the 5300 block of south Wallace in the car he was driving, a purple 2011 Kia Optima, in the northbound middle lane of Cicero Avenue. The car was not moving, although Winfield had a green light, police said.
Police report that Winfield’s eyes were glassy and bloodshot, and that they smelled a strong odor of alcohol on him. Additionally, they say they found an open bottle of tequila in a cup holder in the car.
Police say Winfield refused a preliminary breath test at the scene and was taken into custody. He was also found to be driving without auto insurance.
Winfield is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, Dec. 26, police said.
NOV. 30: Nicholas Siriann, 35, of the 10300 block of south 81st Ct., was arrested and charged with speeding and driving under the influence just before 3 a.m. Siriann was clocked doing 54 miles per hour, well over the posted speed limit of 40, on the 5500 block of west 111th St, police said.
He was pulled over in a gas station three blocks east. Police said his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, his speech was slurred, his hands were shaking, his body was rocking back and forth, and he appeared mentally disoriented.
Police said that Siriann said that he had not been drinking and that he was “…going to get my kids. Going to my ex-old lady’s house.” He also reportedly said he uses methadone, and police said they found several empty bottles with methadone labels in the vehicle.
Siriann also allegedly refused a preliminary breath test, saying “My lawyer told me never to take no breath test.”
Police impounded the vehicle and he is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Dec. 27.
PALOS HEIGHTS
DEC. 4: Patrisha J. De Bois, 31, of the 100 block of East Sycamore in Park Forest, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding and not having insurance, according to a report. Police said De Bois' vehicle was stopped for speeding. She reportedly failed field sobriety test. De Bois was given a $1,000 bond.
