Sleeping Man Wakes in the Wrong House

Oak Forest police were called to a Walnut Road home after a woman found a stranger sleeping in a bedroom, according to police.

An Oak Forest man is charged with criminal trespassing after police allegedly found him sleeping in somebody else's home.

Corey M. Gilmack, 21, of 6609 Liden Dr. in Oak Forest, was arrested July 23 after police were called to a home at around 7:56 a.m. in the 15400 block of Walnut Road.

The woman who called police met with officers on the front porch of the home and told them a man she did not know was sleeping in an upstairs bedroom.

Police went into the house and woke the sleeping man. According to the report, the man, later identified as Gilmack, was "very lethargic" and did not know where he was. He also was found with dried blood on his face and, after officers arrested him, was taken to South Suburban Hospital.

Later that day, the hospital called Oak Forest police to let them know Gilmack could be picked up. He was booked and given a court date of Aug. 10 at the Bridgeview Court House.
