Police: Two Brothers Found with Gun and Marijuana

Police responding to an argument at an Oak Forest apartment arrest two Markham men.

Oak Forest police arrested two brothers from Markham April 20, after responding to reports of an argument.

Denero Bradford, 25, of 16231 Trumbull Ave., is charged with possession of a firearm without a Firearm Owners Identification card, according to an  report.

Police said Bradford admitted to owning a .22 caliber handgun they found in a bathroom sink cabinet at the apartment, located in the 5000 block of 159th Street. He did not have a FOID card.

Jarrard Bradford, 29, of 16231 Trumbull Ave., was also at the apartment. Police searching Jarrard found a small amount of marijuana. He is charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana.

A woman had originally called police after an argument arose between her and the two men. She told police that Jarrard was the one with a gun before Denero admitted to being the owner.

One of the brothers said he frequented the apartment.
