Police: Thieves Left Behind Cheaper Phones During Robbery

Thieves broke into M & M Wireless earlier this week and made off with phones.

Three men broke into an Oak Forest business on April 24 and made off several cell phones grabbed from displays, police said.

It's not known how many phones were taken from M & M Wireless, 4142 W. 167th, but the thieves left the cheaper $20 phones, according to an report.

An investigator was able to review a recording made by a nearby security camera. Three men were seen on the video, police said. One tossed a landscaping brick through a window.

One man is described as black, between 17 and 25 years old, thin, with a light-colored hoodie and glasses. A second man is described as black, bald, heavier than the first suspect. He was also wearing a hoodie. The third man is only described as wearing a baseball hat. All three wore gloves.

The cost to replace the broken window is estimated between $500 and $1,000.
