Police Still Investigating Crash that Killed Oak Forest Woman

Tinley Park police say it's unclear whether alcohol played a role in the crash involving John and Roseanne Haberkamp. The 30-year-old woman died from her injuries.

Cook County officials said Oak Forest resident Roseanne Haberkamp died of severe head injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident last week, which remains under investigation by police.

Roseanne Haberkamp, 30, was traveling north on Oak Park Avenue in a Jeep driven by her husband John on Wednesday, when near Prosperi Drive and Oak Park Avenue, Tinley Park police said.

Police are waiting for the results of toxicology reports on John Haberkamp to determine whether alcohol was involved in the crash.

Both of the Haberkamps were taken to South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest. John Haberkamp, 30, was treated and released, pending the results of toxicology tests. Roseanne Haberkamp's injuries were more severe, and she was transported to Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, where she died at 8 p.m. Thursday.
