Police Nab 90 During Thanksgiving Holiday Campaign

Oak Forest Police issued 90 citations, mostly for seat belt violations and failure to properly secure a child, from Nov. 12–25. The campaign was the first of six such heightened enforcement campaigns set for 2013.

Oak Forest police on patrol over the Thanksgiving holiday were kept busy issuing citations, according to a recent release from the department.

Police issued 90 tickets from Nov.12 through 25—most for seat belt violations or failure to properly secure a child.

“Highly visible enforcement combined with media notice is intended to remind drivers to properly buckle themselves and their children,” said Oak Forest Deputy Chief Dominic D'Ambrosio.
