Police Blotter: Lockport Man Arrested for Marijuana Possession After K9 Unit Search

Marijuana Arrest
Justin M. Mack, 27, 1513 Peachtree, Lockport, was charged with possession of marijuana, making a prohibited left turn and driving without insurance. According to a police report, a K9 unit was called to search Mack’s black Dodge after being pulled over. An officer found a plastic baggie which contained about 9 grams of a substance that tested positive as marijuana.

TUESDAY, APRIL 24
Animal Cruelty Call
Tameka L. Brown, 22, of 4823 157th St., Oak Forest, is charged with obstructing a police officer. According to the report, police came to her home after receiving a call about possible animal cruelty. When asked by an officer, Brown failed show her drivers license and proof of pet tags.

Stolen Blower
A Stihl lawn and leaf blower, valued at $350, was reported stolen in Oak Forest, according to a police report. The man who reported it missing works for Rwd Maintenance in Orland Park.
