Police Blotter: DUI Arrest for Tinley Park Man Following Speeding Stop

FRIDAY, APRIL 27
DUI Arrest
Saad Rafati, 22, 15943 Ashford Ct., Tinley Park, was charged with speeding, driving without insurance and driving under the influence. Rafait’s car was stopped by police after it was seen traveling 44 mph in a 25 mph zone, according to an report. An officer had Rafati perform tests for drunkenness, after which he was arrested.

Copper thief?
Someone broke into a foreclosed house in the 5000 block of Greentree Road. According to a police report, the person who tends to the house said he found a rear sliding glass door open and several copper pipes sticking out from the downstairs window. The person suspects someone tried to rip the pipes from a crawl space.

Battery Arrest at Stop N Go
Enrique Belasques Santiago, 26, of 5009 West 159th St., Oak Forest, was charged with battery and disorderly conduct, according to police reports. Police said Santiago grabbed the woman working the counter at Stop N Go Liquor, swore at her and then threw a bottle of hot sauce against the wall.

DUI Arrest After Crash
Colin S. Zieroth, 24, 15306 James Dr., Oak Forest, was charged with making an improper turn, causing unlawful damage to a speed limit sign, driving under the influence and driving with blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08, according to reports. Police said Zieroth was involved in a car crash at the intersection of 147th Street and Central Avenue.
