Police Blotter: DUI Accident; Driver Violates Order of Protection

FRIDAY, MARCH 23
DUI Accident
Pablo L. Granado, 28, of the 17100 block of Valley Drive in Tinley Park was charged with driving under the influence, driving with BAC greater than 0.08, failure to reduce speed to avoid accident and no insurance. Police said Granado failed field sobriety and breath tests after sideswiping a car at 159th Street and Oak Park Avenue around 7:30 p.m.

Domestic Battery
Thomas J. Campbell, 52, of the 16400 block of Terry Lane in Oak Forest was charged with domestic battery. A woman told police that Campbell threatened her and when she pushed him, he pushed back and slapped her in the face. She said she fell backward and hit her head on a computer desk. According to the report, he then put her in a headlock. He was arrested around 7 p.m.

Violated Protection Order
Robert J. Olejnik, 43, of the 15000 block of Ridgewood Drive in Oak Forest was charged with violation of order of protection. Police said they stopped Olejnik’s car at 159th Street and Central Avenue around 8:30 p.m. for following a woman with an order of protection against him.
