Bullet Lodged in Windshield

Someone appears to have shot at the windshield of a man's car as it was parked in his driveway in the 17300 block of Arrowhead Trace, he told police. Police found a .22 or .32 caliber bullet lodged in the pane. The windshield was cracked and caved inward, according to reports. The bullet appears to have come from the east, according to reports.

Obstructing Identification

Daniel K. McCloud, 44, of the 5200 block of Liberty Square Drive in Oak Forest, was arrested around 3:10 p.m. in the 6800 block of West 173rd Place in Tinley Park. He was charged with obstructing identification, speeding and driving with a revoked license.

Taking Out Trash

Someone pried open the door of the Scarborough condominium complex in the 5500 block of Scarborough, and made off with a 55-gallon trashcan.

Men Posing as Neighbors Suspected in Burglary

Two men are suspected of making off with a man's wallet after they fibbed their way inside his home by posing as new neighbors, homeowners told police. The homeowners in the 5900 block of Rob Roy said the men appeared to be in their 40s or 50s, one larger and one smaller. The female homeowner let the larger of the two men inside, while the other stayed outside. The back door was open, the woman told police. The two men then left, laughing, and drove away in a darker colored car with a red mark on the side. The missing wallet contained $100 in cash, the man's driver's license and his Chase credit card.

Painting the Fence

Someone spraypainted an insult across the white fence outside a woman's home in the 17300 block of Arrowhead Trace, according to reports. It is not the first instance of criminal damage, the woman told police, as her fence has been shot with BB guns and outdoor decorations have been damaged. No known suspects.

Foiled Burglary

A person in a grey hooded sweatshirt ran off when a condo owner called to him or her after she heard someone trying to jiggle her door open, police said. The incident occurred in the 14500 block of Central Avenue.
