Police Blotter: A Tantrum with Pants Down

Oak Forest Police reports, Sept. 6-11.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 11

Theft

A resident in the 15700 block of Lake Drive reported his license plates stolen off his car overnight.

Disorderly Conduct

Kathleen Busch, 50, of the 15800 block of Terrace Drive in Oak Forest, was charged with disorderly conduct. A neighbor told Busch threatened her, yelling and screaming obscenities in the parking lot around 4 a.m. Then, at 11:35 a.m., the accuser said Busch drove her vehicle close to the accuser and her children. The accuser said the actions may have been a response to a previous battery complaint the day before.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 10

Criminal Damage Reports

  • Nicholas A. Pirsein, 19, of the 19400 block of Edgebrook Lane in Tinley Park, was charged with criminal damage to property. A man called police saying he saw two young men throwing rocks at the coin collection shelter in the 157th Street Metra parking lot around 10:15 p.m. Officers saw two broken windows at Magna Electric Supply, 15644 Cicero Ave. The Plexiglass at the Metra lot had been damaged along with some broken light bulbs. Pirsein admitted to causing the damage. The other man was released without charges.
  • Samantha A. Madden, 22, of the 11400 block of South Spaulding Avenue in Chicago, was charged with criminal damage to a vehicle. A witness in the 15600 block of Bramblewood Road said Madden damaged his friend's Pontiac Grand Prix by punching and kneeing the passenger side door around 1:30 a.m.

Battery Charge

Kathleen Busch, 50, of the 15800 block of Terrace Drive, was charged with battery. A neighbor said Busch was intoxicated and standing outside the apartment building with her pants and underwear down, yelling obscenities at the neighbor's guests and children around 8:15 p.m. As the officer approached, Busch ran towards the accuser, calling her a variety of names and becoming more aggressive, police said.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 9

Cannabis Citation

James R. Grier, 19, of the 15900 block of Long Avenue in Oak Forest, was cited for possession of cannabis. An officer on patrol at the skate park, 15601 Central Ave., saw Grier walking through around 8 p.m., after the park had closed at dusk. The officer saw Grier place a small bag into his back pocket. Grier admitted to having cannabis.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 7

Criminal Trespassing

A resident in the 15500 block of Waverly reported that someone had broken into his porch and attempted to take some items around 1:30 a.m. The man's son had tried to chase the person down without success. The man said nothing was missing from the porch.

Stolen Vehicle Found in Harvey

The owner of Ed Urbancik Auto Sales, 16701 Cicero Ave., reported a Dodge Ram 3500 had been stolen off the car lot sometime between 7 p.m. on Tuesday and 3 a.m. Wednesday. The owner was contacted by Harvey Police at 3 a.m. saying the car was abandoned in their town.

Car Gets Egged

A resident in the 5100 block of 155th Street, woken by his car alarm at 4 a.m., reported his car was covered with eggs and the the driver's side door was scratched.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 6

Wallet Stolen

A resident in the 5100 block of West 158th Street reported his wallet stolen while he was in the checkout lane at Food 4 Less, 5556 W. 159th St., around noon. The man set the wallet on the counter, looked away for a moment, and then noticed the wallet was missing.

Burglary

A resident in the 15400 block of South Kilpatrick said the home had been broken into between Sept. 2 and Sept. 6. Nothing was stolen from the home, according to the report.
