Gregory Anderson will be sticking around for a while longer, after he was not chosen for a new chief position, in Champaign, Illinois.
The position went to Champaign native and former Urbana assistant chief Anthony Cobb, according to the News-Gazette.
Anderson was one of four candidates in final consideration to replace retiring Champaign Police Chief R.T. Finney. He was up against Cobb, then-St. Louis police Lt. Col. Antoinette Filla and East Lansing, Mich., police Capt. Kim Johnson.
