Oak Forest Police Chief Passed Over for Champaign Top Cop Spot

Police Chief Greg Anderson was not chosen for the Champaign police chief position. Instead, the position goes to Urbana's former assistant chief and a Champaign resident.

Gregory Anderson will be sticking around for a while longer, after he was not chosen for a new chief position, in Champaign, Illinois.

The position went to Champaign native and former Urbana assistant chief Anthony Cobb, according to the News-Gazette.

Anderson was one of four candidates in final consideration to replace retiring Champaign Police Chief R.T. Finney. He was up against Cobb, then-St. Louis police Lt. Col. Antoinette Filla and East Lansing, Mich., police Capt. Kim Johnson.
