Tattooed Man Robs Oak Forest Bank

Oak Forest police and FBI are searching for a man who implied he was armed, then robbed CNB Bank near 159th and Central Avenue late Wednesday morning. The man displayed "prominent" tattoos on both arms.

A man robbed an Oak Forest branch of CNB Bank and Trust, 5459 W. 159th St. Wednesday, authorities said. 

The man entered the bank around 11:45 a.m., alluded to a handgun and robbed the facility, according to Oak Forest Police Deputy Chief Dominic D'Ambrosio.

Initial reports describe the suspect as a white male, estimated at 35 years old and approximately 5-feet, 7-inches tall, roughly 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red skull cap, a navy shirt or hoodie with heavy white print on the front and stonewashed blue jeans. Both arms show "prominent" tattoos. He was seen getting into a navy pickup truck with temporary license plate beginning in #40, headed eastbound. Further description is still forthcoming.

No one was injured in the incident. It is unclear how much money was stolen from the bank. 

Oak Forest police and FBI are investigating, D'Ambrosio said.

It was the second robbery of the day, authorities said. A TCF Bank branch in Woodridge was robbed around the same time.
