Naked Man Struts in Plain View, Spits Outside: Midlothian Police Blotter

A 59-year-old Midlothian man repeatedly stands in his window, opens his front door naked as children are walking to school, according to reports.

A man's preference to be naked and his propensity to spit outside landed him in trouble with Midlothian police.

Eddie E. Jackson, Jr., 59, of the 3500 block of W. 147th Street, was cited for public indecency. According to Jackson's neighbor, Jackson routinely stands in front of his front window in the nude and opens his front door naked while her children are going to school. The complainant has reportedly told Jackson to stop several times and he has not.

Officers went to speak with Jackson, who they found sitting naked in his kitchen. Officers told Jackson to put clothes on and speak with them. Jackson told the officers that he has a medical condition that causes him to spit constantly and that he chose to do so outside.

Officers said that while spitting outside was fine, he must do so clothed. Officers wrote Jackson a citation. But when they returned to deliver the ticket, Jackson was indisposed—and in the bathtub. He told pofficers to leave the ticket and his ID in his mailbox.

Police Blotter information is provided by the Midlothian Police Department. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions taken on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. If you or a family member are charged or cited and the case is subsequently adjudicated, we encourage you to notify the editor. We will verify and report the outcome.
