Shooting Death Near Forest Preserve Ruled a Suicide
One day after Oak Forest Police found a man with a gunshot wound to the head Saturday, May 12 near 170th Street and Central Avenue, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office has ruled it a suicide. The victim was from Tinley.
The death of a man found with a gunshot wound to the head Saturday has been ruled a suicide, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
found Steven Baggs, 63, of Tinley Park . He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead at 2:34 p.m., said Dan Parker, spokesman for the Forest Preserve District of Cook County.

Passersby Saturday afternoon spotted the car with a sheet draped over the driver's side window, parked on the east side of Central Avenue. The vehicle was cordoned off by police tape. An Oak Forest Patch Facebook fan noted first seeing the car as early as 11 a.m.
