Police say three men approached a customer at Villa Rivera, waved a gun, and demanded his money.

Police say a 20-year-old Oak Forest man was robbed at gunpoint July 26 as he was about to eat lunch at Villa Rivera Restaurant, 5233 W. 159th St.

The victim said he was approached at about 1:15 p.m. by three men in a black SUV. The victim was approached by a man, described as being white or possibly hispanic with blond hair and wearing a white T-shirt. He had three teardrop tattoos below each eye.

The gunman pointed a black, semi-automatic handgun at the victim and demanded his money. The victim denied having any money and then fled on foot across the street. Once across the street at the parking lot of a liquor store, the victim was kicked in the leg by the gunman and fell to the ground.

The thief stole $180 from the victim, but the victim managed to hide $65 in his shoe, according to the report. The victim refused treatment for his injuries.
