A crash that injured at least seven people on I-57 Thursday afternoon could mean major delays during the evening rush hour, the Tribune reports.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash, which occurred around 1 p.m. in the southbound lanes near 159th Street in Markham. Traffic was shut down traffic in both directions following the accident, according to the report.
Two people with life-threatening injuries were airlifted from the scene, and five were sent to area hospitals, according to the report.
Motorists should expect delays through the rush hour as Illinois State Police investigate.
