Gas Station Murder Arraignment Nears: Court Watch

A Park Forest man accused in the shooting death of a Chicago Heights man at a gas station over a rental dispute will face arraignment in a Cook County courtroom on Tuesday. Dennis Joyner is charged with two felony counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and eight felony counts of murder in the shooting death of 40-year-old Robert Fortson.

Joyner, 60, was recently moved to the Cook County Jail's medical ward due to his health complications.

The defense attorney for a Mokena man accused of assaulting a Tinley Park restaurant manager argued that a woman who had a previous run-in with the alleged victim should be allowed to testify at a trial. Donovan Campbell, 42, is claiming self-defensefor his role in .
