Foul Play Not Suspected in Oak Forest Death

Michael V. Kieta, 56, was found in his Oak Forest home by police earlier this week.

The Cook County medical examiner is investigating the death of an Oak Forest man found in his home earlier this week.

Oak Forest Chief Greg Anderson confirmed Friday that police discovered Michael V. Kieta, 56, Wednesday in the 15000 block of Natalie Drive and that the death is not considered suspicious. Police are waiting for a report from the medical examiner for a cause of death.

"As of right now, there is no sign of foul play," Anderson said.

Police were called by the landlord of the Natalie Drive property where Kieta lived. According to a report, the landlord had not heard from him for three weeks.

An officer who went with the landlord to the home found Kieta in a recliner, police said. It was apparent he had been dead for a while.
