That's a Lot of Gas

A victim in the 15300 block of LeClaire Avenue notified police about a financial identity theft, following the loss of their son's wallet at the son's girlfriend's home.

The complainant told officers that the wallet contained a debit card and school ID, and that on Oct. 15, the complainant was notified about $436 worth of charges on the card at various gas stations.

The complainant told officers that if an offender was found, they would like to sign complaints.

iPod is iStolen

Police were notified by a victim of a burglary, after the victim noticed their iPod was missing from their car. At the scene, police spoke with the victim who said they walked to work at 9:45 a.m. and when returning from work, noticed their center console was open and the iPod was missing.

Officers noted a surveillance camera system that watches the lot where the car was parked, 5320 W. 159th Street, but that the person who watches the camera was gone for the day.

Where's Frank?

Thomas J. Wnukowksi, 63, of Crestwood, was charged with disorderly conduct, after trying to gain entrance to a home in the 15900 block of Long Avenue.

At the home, police found Wnukowksi standing near the home, behind an evergreen tree. Officers spoke with Wnukowksi who told them he was looking for Frank, whom he used to live with.

Officers, having encountered Wnukowksi before, reminded him that Frank passed away a week prior and did not live at the residence.

Officers spoke with the home's owner, via telephone, who said he wanted to sign complaints against Wnukowksi.

He was taken to the Oak Forest Police Department, where he blew a .28 on a Breathalyzer and was processed, before being transported to South Suburban Hospital. Wnukowksi was given a Nov. 20 courtdate at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

THURSDAY, OCT. 18

Video Games Gone, Again

A victim in the 4800 block of 157th Street was notified by police of a burglary to their residence. At the home, police found the front door of the home unlocked at 11 p.m., after receiving a call about a burglary.

Shortly after officers arrived at the home, the owner came home and notified police that a Toshiba HDTV, Xbox controller, Playstation 2 and Wii were missing from the home. The victim told officers that they believed a former roommate came into the home and stole the items.

The victim said the suspect had previously stolen items from the home and sold them to Disc Replay in Orland Park.

Police are investigating the matter.
