Cocaine & Psychedelic Drug Confiscated in Bust

Two Oak Forest residents were arrested May 1 after Alsip police raided where they were staying.

Two men remain in custody following a drug bust on an Oak Forest home, Alsip police said Tuesday.

Police conducting an investigation determined that people living at a home in the 15000 block of Merlin Court were dealing drugs, said Alsip Lt. Jay Miller.

Timothy Adkins, 27, of 15308 Merlin Ct. is charged with possession of a controlled substance and manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance. Erick Oretga, 26, also of 15308 Merlin Ct. is charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana.

Both were arrested following a bust, which included officers from Alsip and departments, on May 1 at the home. 

Police said they recovered 20 grams of cocaine, 20 grams of psilocybin, a psychedelic drug found in some mushrooms and less than 10 grams of marijuana, along with $1,400 cash.
