Super Kmart on Harlem Avenue has been evacuated because of a bomb threat, police said.

The store was closed for a few hours while members of the Cook County bomb squad investigated. No bomb was found, and the store reopened around 5 p.m., according to the Chicago Tribune.

Police were not able to say whether there was a specific threat directed at the store or an employee. Kmart staff had called police to alert them about the threat.

About 20 store employees were cleared Thursday afternoon to an area near the edge of the store's parking lot.

Tinley Park police blocked entrances leading to the store, which caused traffic congestion along Harlem Avenue.
