Better Buckle Up, Oak Forest

Oak Forest Police will be keeping a close eye on seat belt use this weekend, through March 20.

You know the saying—"Click it, or ticket."

will be checking to be sure drivers abide by the law this St. Patrick's Day weekend, through March 20. 

The department will conduct a citywide seat belt enforcement campaign, which began March 12.

“This enforcement campaign is one of six that the Oak Forest Police Department will participate in this year,” said Deputy Police Chief Dominic D’Ambrosio. “Stationary occupant restraint zones along with mobile saturation patrols will be utilized to check for occupants of vehicles not wearing their safety belts.”

The St. Patrick’s Day campaign is the third Sustained Traffic Enforcement Program, which is funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
