BB Gun Shooter Scored Headshot on Man in Moving Car: Police

A 21-year-old Oak Forest man was the victim of a pellet gun shooting on July 15.

A 21-year-old Oak Forest man was hit in the head by a BB gun pellet last week while riding on Victoria Avenue.

The man's 57-year-old father was driving their 1994 Buick at about 11:25 p.m. on July 15 when they passed the pump station in the 6600 block of Victoria Avenue, Oak Forest police said. That's where they saw a young male aiming a pellet gun that looked like a rifle at the car.

One pellet was fired, the victim told police. It struck him in the head but didn't cause any visible wounds. Police said he refused medical treatment.

The two men could only give a vague description of the young shooter, police said. The boy was wearing a white T-shirt and had ran toward Pine Street, according to the report.

Police spoke with the father of a boy who lives in the area. He said his son was home the entire night and couldn't have been the shooter.

No arrests or citations have been reported.
