Alleged Drunk Driver Parks Car, Passes Out: Midlothian Police Blotter

Electronics, Change Stolen From Home

Police were called to a home in the 14500 block of S. Central Park Avenue, after a resident called in a burglary to their home.

The victim told police that someone broke the back window of his home and ransacked the house.

The suspect(s) took his Playstation 3 system, two video games for the system and a box of change. The victim said he was unsure how much change was in the box. The suspect(s) also scooted the man's flat screen television from the living room, closer to the back window that was broken.

Police took evidence from the scene and the matter was turned over to investigations.

Graffiti at the Ball Field

Fresh graffiti on the Midlothian baseball field concession stand caught the eye of officers. 

The workd, 'devil worshiper,' 'anthem made,' and three containing phrases with expletive were spray-painted on the stand in blue and purple, according to the report.

Police contacted a baseball board member about the graffiti.

Alleged Drunk Driver: 'Wow, Did I Do This?' 

Arthur D. Milliron, 36, of the 5200 block of W. 110th Street, Oak Lawn, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, following an incident in the 4600 block of W. 147th Street.

Police were called to the area by a concerned motorist, who reported a drunk driver via a 911 call.

At the scene, police found Milliron sleeping in his car near Sullivan's Pub. Police woke Milliron, who was sleeping behing the driver's wheel of the car; he rolled down his rear window, and officers noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle.

Milliron exited the vehicle and spoke with police, who asked him why his car was parked in the grass near Sullivan's, with its rear end sticking out on to Kilpatrick Avenue. Milliron was surprised by his parking, 'Wow, did I do this, really? I can't believe I did this,' he told police, according to the report.

Milliron told officers he had two drinks while watching the Bulls and Blackhawks game at a bar in Chicago earlier that evening.

Officers had Milliron perform field sobriety tests, which he failed, according to the report.

Milliron was taken into custody and transported to the Midlothian police department, where he blew a .113. He was released on bond, pending a Feb. 21 court date at the Markham Courthouse.

Billiard Ball, Hammer Thrown through Windows

Police were called to a home in the 14400 block of S. Springfield Avenue, after a resident reported criminal damage to their property.

At the home, police spoke with the victims, who said that around 2 a.m. An unknown suspect(s) had thrown a No. 12 billiard ball through a window in the home and a hammer through the front window of the home.

Police noted that both the billiard ball and the hammer had writing on them, although the writing on the ball was very difficult to read. The hammer handle read, 'I'm just getting warmed up.'

One of the victims said that he was having problems with a local biker gang and a resident of Robbins, both of whom could be responsible for the damage.

Police took the ball and hammer as evidence.
