Semi-Truck Rolls Over After Crash with Car on I-80 at 80th Ave.

Illinois State Police report there was a minor injury after a semi-truck and car collision about 7:20 a.m. Tuesday on I-80 westbound at 80th Avenue.

A semi-truck is rolled over in a ditch after a crash with a car about 7:20 a.m. today westbound on Interstate 80 just east of 80th Avenue in Frankfort.

Illinois State Police say the driver of the semi-truck sustained minor injuries and was taken to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.

An investigation into the details is underway, police say. What they do know is that the two vehicles were westbound. It appears that the car struck the semi-truck at one point.

The semi-truck rolled over in a ditch, and the car remained upright on the pavement.

Traffic was temporarily shut down. However, the shoulder and the right lane are now open.

A tow truck is on the scene, ISP said.
