3 Robbers Attacked a Chicago Man on Midlo Street: Police

Police were unable to find the three attackers who robbed a Chicago man on Aug. 4 while he was leaning on a light pole, police said.

A 21-year-old Chicago man fell victim to three robbers who beat him on a Midlothian street.

The victim told police he was leaning on a light pole at about 12:58 a.m. on Aug. 4 in the 14600 block of South Waverly Avenue when three men approached, police said.

One man asked the victim for directions before punching him in the stomach. The Chicago man tossed his iPhone and wallet to the three men, who then fled eastbound on 147th Street, police said. The wallet contained cards and $20 cash.

Cops checked the area but couldn't find the robbers.

All three men were about 20 years old, according to the victim's description. The robber who did the punching was a 6-foot tall, 180 pound white male. The second attacker was a white male and the third robber was a black male.
