A family dealt with repeated visits from two strangers apparently looking for an invitation into the house.

An Oak Forest girl, her father and grandfather were approached seven times within 40 minutes at their home on Nov. 25.

The first person, a white male with short brown hair, knocked on the door at about 6:05 p.m. and asked if the family needed help with any "technical difficulties," according to an Oak Forest police report. The 8-year-old girl, who lives with her family in the 6000 block of Oakland, said no and shut the door.

The same man knocked again and asked if the family needed an exterminator. The girl again replied "no" and shut the door.
