2 Flee From Martini Bar Scuffle

A Markham woman was hospitalized for injuries she sustained during an attack by a group of women on Oct. 30.

A 21-year-old Markham woman told police she struck another vehicle while trying to flee an attack at an Oak Forest martini bar.

The Markham woman walked out of The Linger Martini Bar, 4142 W. 167th St. at about 1:15 a.m. on Oct. 30 when a man she didn't know when she was approached by a group of upset women, the report states. Four or five women were yelling at her when they suddenly started throwing punches and pulling her hair.

The altercation escalated and the woman was able to fight back long enough to climb into her car, the report states. A 21-year-old friend witnessed the attack and got into the woman's car at the same time.

More people started aggressively walking toward their vehicle, the report states. The two women swerved in their vehicle to avoid hitting people but struck a parked car in the parking lot as they fled. The driver then lost control and struck a curb.

Police caught up to the two women in Markham, the report states. She was hospitalized for injuries sustained during the fight.

Neither woman could identify the attackers, the report states. No arrests were reported.
