Oak Forest Relay for Life Gives to Children Fighting Cancer

The Oak Forest Relay for Life is giving to children and teens fighting cancer. On Friday, June 21, 2013, 400 people assembled in Oak Forest for the 2013 Annual Relay for Life of Oak Forest. The Relay for Life hosted a toy drive to benefit the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation (P.O.T.C.F.).

Relay for Life is about celebration, remembrance, and hope. Participants honor cancer survivors, pay tribute to their lives lost to cancer and raise money to help fight this dreadful disease.

Relay for Life participant and Oak Lawn resident Ari Sietsema said “ We have lost a number of people to cancer and we want to help kids and everybody with cancer.”

The P.O.T.C.F. is especially grateful to the Oak Forest Relay for Life participants for their support and belief in our mission. Because of their  generosity, the program continues to support more than 8,500 children and teens monthly.
