We sure could use more Business' in Oak Forest.  If Crestwood, Orland and Tinley can open up more stores in their towns why can't we.  If you click the Economic Development link on the City of OF's website the first paragraph says that the City of OF is truly commited to Economic Development.  It also states that 92.7 of the residents want OF to aggressively pursue business development.  If you then click on the Development News link you'll see that it hasn't been updated since 2011.  Maybe, if the residents of OF give the Economic Development Director and assitant Director some ideas with respect to business' we'd like to see come to our town, they could pursue those business'.  Some ideas I have:  HOBO where Ace Hardware was, TGI Fridays, Mindy's or another restaurant where the PNC Bank was.  Oak Forest Commons could use a Big Lots or maybe Tuesday Morning or somekind of bigger store to draw more customer's to that mall.  With all the traffice that goes down 159th everyday why can't the former Pontiac dealership be turned into a mall.  Especially now with Calumet Paints and CARS is no longer there what a mall we could have.  Just imagine not having to fight your way down 159th on the weekends to go to Orland orTinley to shop.  Store's like payless, shoe carnival, a golf store, Penneys, Ulta, H&M, Forever 21, a couple of places to eat or an Ice Cream shop, Marshalls, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Home Goods......the list is endless.  What would you like to see?  I'd love to shop Oak Forest and I think others would feel the same even if they didn't live here and just happended driving down 159th street.
