Ticket to Oak Fest 2012: Liberty Run for Fun

Even with warm weather possible, Oak Fest organizers are hopeful that Monday will be a pleasant day for a 5K.

The 2011 5K Liberty Run/Walk went well, despite temperatures being a bit above ideal.

"Last year, it was very warm as well but we were able to continue the race," said Debbie Houtz, who handles marketing efforts for Oak Fest.

About 125 racers are expected for the evening 5K. Registration is 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. at the Oak Fest entrance. The race begins at 7 p.m.

Participants get a goodie bag, which includes a race T-shirt. There's also a post-race party with free drawings for prizes.

Entry the day of the race costs $30 for all runners. Pre-registration is available and costs $25 for adults, $20 for CARA members and $15 for students.

  • Bingo, 6-9 p.m.
  • Carnival, 6-10 p.m. (All rides today are just two tickets)
  • 5k Liberty Run, 7 p.m.
  • PCW Wrestling, 6-8 p.m.
  • Chris Medina, 6 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Good 2 Go, 7:30 to 10 p.m.
