Last Chance: Help Fight a Neurological Disorder

An Oak Forest nonprofit will benefit from a ladies night event in Orland Park this week.

This week's Last Chance isn't so much a deadline you need to watch out for but a great fundraiser you could attend.

A night of wine tasting, spa services and shopping is set up for 6-9 p.m. May 10 at the  in Orland Park. Proceeds will go to benefit The Fight Ataxia Project, a nonprofit based in Oak Forest.

Ataxia is a degenerative neurological disorder that affects motor skills, making it progressively more difficult to move.

The groups mission is to raise funds for research into a cure, offer support for those afflicted with the condition and their families and provide information and advocacy. 

The ladies night event will also have raffles, a DJ and refreshments. Admission is $5.
