Benefit for Alex Fitzgerald Brings Massive Crowd

Hundreds of people attended the fundraiser to help the Oak Forest student who was hospitalized for nearly two months.

Alex Fitzgerald and family saw hundreds, if not thousands, of people pack Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park Sunday.

Organizers behind "Fighting 4 Fitz" didn't have estimates immediately available on how many people showed or how much money was raised.

Fitzgerald was hospitalized after suffering severe head trauma when a car struck him near in April.
