John Amico and the JA Student Stylists attend the annual Oak Forest community awareness expo

The annual community awareness event was held at the Oak Forest high school and sponsored by the Oak Forest Chamber of Commerce. Every year we use this event as an opportunity to thank the community for the tremendous support and loyalty they have given to our cosmetology students for their beauty services. The John Amico School of Hair design recently celebrated our 35th anniversary being in Oak Forest and we could not be happier to have had the opportunity to attend the expo and give back to the several thousand community members that attended the event. We have been long time supporters of the Oak Forest community awareness expo and have, on numerous occasions, won their business of the year award.

This year our cosmetology students led many activities and provided fun services to all of our wonderful supporters! Kids and adults were invited to get feathers sewn into their hair. We gave out over $5,000 in gift certificates and services to the hundreds of supporters who participated in our John Amico Beauty School Raffle. Some of the great services raffled off included haircuts, highlights, full color, perms, keratin treatments, and much more. We are so greatfull and happy that we were there to support community business/awareness and spread our passion about the beauty industry and cosmetology to our community. We look forward to seeing all of our new friends and potential clients visit our school for their hair care services!
