The Miracle and Madness of Facebook

Juliana's obsession with Facebook is providing her much unexpected therapy, but her message is sometimes misunderstood.

Juliana’s history with Facebook has been an interesting ride.  I remember when she
first introduced me to it in 2008, I wasn’t sure what to make of it.  She tried to talk me into creating a My Space account but that was clearly too hip and trendy forme.  Juli used both to their full extent posting pictures, statements, emotions and news of her engagement.  When the time came to report a status on her condition after the accident Facebook was the hands down vehicle of choice.  Often we tried to get her to read the updates and comments by others in hopes that she would be inspired by their prayers, their hopes, and their support.  It was a very long road to that goal but in the last 6 months her fascination has slowly been increasing.  As many people with brain injury experience can confirm, the recovery and sometimes
permanent future is filled with random obsessions. (to read more go to www.forjuliana.org)
