Get in the Holiday Spirit at Oak Forest's Parade and Tree Lighting

Don't miss out on this year's tree lighting and Christmas parade, scheduled for Dec. 8.

Santa Claus is comin' to town—Dec. 8, to be exact.

Oak Forest residents are invited to join Mayor Hank Kuspa and Santa Claus as they ring in the holiday season at the annual tree lighting ceremony and parade on Saturday, December 8.

The parade kicks off at Oak Forest High School at 11 a.m. and will proceed down Central Avenue to City Hall where the tree lighting ceremony will take place.

The top three trees and three honorable mentions from the trim-a-tree contest will be announced after the tree lighting.

Afterward, everyone is invited to Fire Station 1 to visit with Santa and enjoy light refreshments.

Guests are asked to donate an unwrapped toy to the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation, which provides comfort and distraction to children undergoing cancer treatment. The donation box will be at the fire station.

For information, call City Hall at 708-687-4050.
