Relay For Life of Oak Forest Kickoff

The kick-off event will include information on the new theme and fundraising ideas for the American Cancer Society’s 5th annual Relay For Life of Oak Forest being held on June 24-25, 2011. Guests will also be treated to refreshments, have an opportunity to win prizes, and hear from Paula Kubilius, a cancer survivor.

 

Relay For Life is an overnight, community event held to celebrate, remember and fight back against cancer. The event honors cancer survivors and caregivers, remembers those who have lost their battle against the disease and encourages everyone to fight back against cancer by raising funds for research, educational outreach and programs that assist area cancer patients and their families.

The Relay For Life of Oak Forest is also being awarded a National Award from the American Cancer Society for their Survivor/Caregiver Engagement.
