WATCH: Community Awareness Fair Gets Toes Tappin' and People Chattin'

Thousands of visitors traipsed through Oak Forest's 31st Annual Community Awareness Fair Saturday, Oct. 8. Check out some video highlights.

If they came in empty-handed, chances are they didn't leave that way.

The hoards of visitors to Saturday's 31st Annual at browsed rows of 90 local businesses and organizations—many of them handing out free samples ranging from carnations and candy to water bottles and coupons.

Local musical groups, like the band, Madrigals and dancers from Legacy Dance Studio also performed. Local restaurants like , and Durbin's offered lunch at discounted prices, and the Oak Forest Rotary coordinated by Heartland Blood Centers. The event, organized by the Oak Forest-Crestwood Area Chamber of Commerce,  offered community members a chance to get to know their local business owners and organizations.
