Take What's Yours: Own Your Business on Patch

Did you know you can manage your own business listing on Patch? It's easy and FREE.

Owning your online presence is much easier (and cheaper) than owning your physical business. That's how we roll here at Patch.

If you haven't had the chance to peruse our Places directory yet, please take a minute to do so. Not only does it offer our Patch users a comprehensive look at local restaurants, stores, parksnonprofit organizations and more, but a place where you business owners can showcase what you've created.

For one thing, claiming your directory listing—owning your business on Patch—will allow you to upload your own company-related photos. Hosting a charity event? Show people how awesome you are. Participating in a business expo? Share your success! You can also respond to your biggest fans—and critics—in the review section on your company's page.

The fact is, who wouldn't want control of their online presence?

Especially when it's this easy:

  1. To own your Patch listing, you must be a registered user. If you already are, make sure you're logged in. If you aren't, click "join" on the upper right corner of the page and create a username and password.
  2. Now that you're logged in, go to the Places directory and do a search for your business.
  3. Find it? Great. If you didn't (WHAT?! We're so sorry for the oversight!) contact at lauren.traut@patch.com. We'll request one for you and it'll be ready in a day.
  4. Now that you've found your business online, look for the green box on the right side that says "Do you own or manage this location? Claim it!"
  5. Click the link and follow the steps. Our gurus will verify you're the owner and it'll officially be yours (as it should be) within about 48 hours.
  6. Now, upload photos, respond to users and make necessary changes to your listing!
  7. Pat yourself on the back.
