Are These Docs Tops with Teeth? You Tell Us

Take a look at some of the latest dentist reviews on Patch. Then leave your own reviews of your favorite go-to tooth doc.

There's nothing fun about opening up and saying "Ahhhh"—especially when there might be a drill or needles involved. So when you find a dentist who makes it all a little more bearable, you stay put, right?

Recently and a few had some great things to say about their favorite faces behind the mask. Check out how some Patch readers feel about their favorite dentist, then find yours in the our Places directory and leave a review of your own.

I've [known] Dr Joe for 25+ years. Excellent dentist with a sense of humor. Did you know he is an author? He supports Oak Forest Community Projects and is an Oak Forest Rotarian.

"Dr. Joe" O'Donnell is someone I wish I had met a long time ago.

I had gone approximately thirty years without seeing a dentist. I know people were talking about how badily my teeth looked, especially since I was a former smoker.

After being a patient for six months and having "presentable" chompers now, I would highly recommend (and I do) visiting Dr. Joe and discussing your dental health with him.

What I like about his "process" is that he has YOU consider three factors in plotting your specific dental plan: (1) pain, (2) appearance and (3) cost. You weigh these three factors against what you want to have done and he will do ONLY that.

Six months into it and I have not had to tolerate any pain in anything he has done so far, and I only have two more teeth to be dealt with.

As an added extra benefit, as John Keane mentioned below, Dr. Joe is a HOOT!!! His constant chatter will keep your mind off of what he is doing. His assistants are extremely well trained and then there is Cathy. During my last visit, I would "almost" have paid an entertainment fee for the "show" put on between Dr. Joe and his wife Cathy. The only trouble is, (1) I couldn't say anything, because my mouth was wide open and (2) I had the suction tube in my mouth. And before I'm done, and I've told this to Dr. Joe, I'm going to do my Bill Cosby impression of going to the dentist for him.

Being a patient of Dr. Joe will be one of the better things you can do for your mouth.

Dr. Toussaint is a wonderful, caring person. He is very gentle and funny.

I would recommend him to everyone.
