National Rebuilding Day – April 27, 2013 – President Toni Preckwinkle joined more than 100 volunteers, including Cook County employees, completing major repairs to the homes of two residents in southern Cook County on Saturday as part of National Rebuilding Day. The County contributes $105,000 annually to Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago through its Community Development Block Grant program, housed within the Bureau of Economic Development. The two homes were located in Harvey.
