We're looking for bloggers for the fall sports season to give us their perspective on athletics at Oak Forest, Tinley Park and Andrew high schools. You can be a student, a parent or just someone who follows a particular high school fall sport.
The only real requirement is that you're interested and enthusiastic about the sport you're writing about.
How to Get Started
- Make sure you have a Patch account. If so, login. If not, click "Join" in the upper right-hand corner and follow the instructions.
- Click on the "Start Blogging" button at the bottom of the Tinley Park Patch homepage (or click on this link here)
- Follow the instructions and click on the "Create your blog"button.
- Write your first blog post, the click on the "Post Now" button. Make sure you include the category your writing under and include a photo. If you want to come back to the entry, you can save it as a draft, too.
And that's it. You've just become a Patch blogger! You can write as frequently as you like, and the minute you hit "Post Now" your entry will appear on the Oak Forest Patch homepage and the site's blog page, and it will be included in the daily newsletter. Don't forget to share your entries on Facebook, Twitter and other social media.
Contact Joe Vince at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or run into any problems.
Patch bloggers are not paid and they own the content they produce. So if you are already blogging and want to share with our readers, too, let us know.
