New Lenox Concert Tickets to REO Speedwagon and More On Sale Today for Non-Residents

Tickets are available for $60 for three shows: REO Speedwagon, Cheap Trick and Starship.

About 1,300 tickets remain for New Lenox's summer concert series—which features REO Speedwagon, Cheap Trick and Starship—and those are now available to non-residents after a month and a half of sales to residents only.

Tickets are available today for $60 on the second floor of Village Hall, 1 Veterans Pkwy in New Lenox. There were 5,000 tickets available, but the majority have been sold. Ticket sales to this point already tops last year's summer concert series. The schedule is:

Jefferson Starship: Saturday, June 4, 9 p.m.
Cheap Trick: Saturday, Aug. 6, 9 p.m.
REO Speedwagon: Saturday, Sept. 3, 9 p.m.
All shows are held on the New Lenox Village Commons, and the park will open at 5:30 p.m. before the show. Opening bands will perform each night. Mayor Tim Baldermann said the village received interest from at least 30 diverse opening groups, and village staff have narrowed the list to six. Final approval must be given by the headlining bands before the openers are made official, but the openers for the Starship concert are already confirmed:

Bernie Glim and Country Roads: A Chicago-area country band with seven members, led by Bernie Glim on guitar and vocals. See the band's website here.

M&R Rush: A classic rock group that's origins are in the '70s. After disbanding in 1987, they got back together in 2003 and have been rocking the Chicago area since. They've previously opened for Styx, Survivor, Sammy Hagar, Judas Priest, Black Oak Arkansas, Head East and the Go Go's. See the band's website here.

The openers for Cheap Trick and REO Speedwagon haven't been announced yet. On the day of the shows, free bus shuttle will be provided from the Metra lot on Route 30. The village suggests bringing a chair or blanket to sit on.

No coolers, food or outside drinks will be allowed in the park, but local restaurants will have food and drinks for purchase at the event. There are also no pets allowed, except for assistance animals are permitted, and there's no re-admittance, refunds or resale of tickets allowed.
