Medina Signs Movie Deal: Who Should Play the 'American Idol' Singer?

The film, set for release in 2014, will tell the story of how Oak Forest's Chris Medina and his fiancée, Juliana Ramos, dealt with an accident that left Ramos with a brain injury.

Oak Forest resident Chris Medina made a name for himself on the small screen thanks to his performances on American Idol in 2011. Medina made it to the top 40 before being eliminated from the show. Now, he's bringing his story to the big screen after signing a movie deal Tuesday.

The film, which will be a first production for entertainment company MCS41, will be centered around how Medina and his fiancée, Juliana Ramos, dealt with a 2009 car accident that left Ramos with a severe brain injury.
